Sounds pretty good. I'll have to give it a watch.

fairly good if not upto hbo/showtime/fx highest standards but watchable.
Krause and Sutherland are excellent and some of the supporting cast are
very good too. I think they showed 10 eps before the strike but not sure
if they can drag it out for much longer.

I enjoyed the first episode but it became far too soap-ish!

I saw this advertised on Channel 4 last night and got excited but "coming soon" could mean a long way off. Any ideas on a start date?

I'm almost afraid to watch this in case Peter Krause lets me down. I loved him so much in Sports Night and Six Feet Under.

    Pilot. Series 1, episode 1

The wealthy Darlings of New York City are always mixed up with the wrong people: freeloading spouses, illegal immigrants and transvestite hookers. It will take a miracle to keep this Kennedy-esque clan out of the tabloids, and out of jail. That miracle comes in the form idealistic attorney Nick George.

yeah, i watched it last night...........very good pilot.

Looking forward to more........loads going on in it, Affairs with Trannys, coke heads, ****ed up reverands, bastard kids, skeletons in the closet left right and centre, dirty sordid affairs past and present - did i miss anything more?

    I'll keep me interested anyways..........

It was so-so, slick, starry, big budget - very standard elements of 21st century
US TV drama with obviously quirks and "advert standard" rapid editing. They had a lot to cram in, maybe too much for 60 mins.

    Mike.

    I enjoyed the first episode

I enjoyed it as well but when I realised it was pretty much the same premise as Arrested Development it spoiled it a little for me because it made me miss the Bluths!

I'll continue to watch for a few more episodes at least.

Seen episodes 1 & 2 on E4 and so far I like it.

We're about 8 or 10 episodes in over here and it is very good. I have it booked in for every Monday night.

We love Dirty Sexy Money! We've seen every episode up until the "writer strike" happened. Does anybody know when the last 3 episodes will be shown?

Dirty Sexy Money will be down a Darling next season.

Samaire Armstrong, who plays Juliet, brat-astic celebutante and fraternal twin to Jeremy, will not be returning to the series full-time, sources confirm to me exclusively. A spokesperson for ABC Studios declined to comment, but a Dirty Sexy insider tells me that producers decided not to pick up Armstrong's contract option. The actress is, however, expected to appear on a recurring basis, her schedule permitting.

Way too soap-y for my taste.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 355 ✭✭purplegeko

Watched the first episode last week and really enjoyed it; ok it's over the top and the premise of all the secrets is just like Desperate Housewives but the acting and casting was great and will definitely stick with for the next couple of weeks.

Its in late night Thursdays on RTE 2

Season 2 started in US last night
    Darling Death
Former Shark attorney Sarah Carter is headed to Dirty Sexy Money for a two-episode arc. She's playing a mystery woman who crosses paths with Darling matriarch Tish (Jill Clayburgh)
Cashmere Mafia may have bit the dust, but ABC really wanted to keep Lucy Liu in the family. So at Thursday's Dirty Sexy Money panel at the fall TV press tour, after months of rumblings, it was officially announced that Liu is joining the ever-growing cast of the Darling family drama.

Though details about her character, Nola Lyons, are scant few (we know she'll play an attorney that tangles with Peter Krause's Nick George), Liu will be a series regular. The actress confessed to being a fan of the show since seeing the pilot episode. "It was kismet; it just worked out," Liu said, who sat next to Krause on the panel and exchanged cute little whispers and giggles with him throughout the session. "I feel like we've been caught passing notes," she said.

In a session that included many mentions of the words dirty, sexy, and money, Liu was asked how it felt to turn 40 this year and still be considered sexy. Without missing a beat, she quipped: "Oh, great, now I'm fired."

My only advice is that if you feel like giving up at any point during the season, do!

It goes through peaks and troughs but overall it's utter balls. Can't believe I wasted my time. :(

I watched the first series thought it was watchable. The 2nd series might be as watchable if RTE hadn't put it one during the middle of the night. Muppets!!

It's been dropped in the US. Only 9 episodes of season 2 have aired so far, and the last one was mid-December. I wonder if RTÉ will get any more than the 9.

i just looked up the telly guide so it's on at 3.15am on tuesday morning.

    According to Digiguide:

    Time - 03:15 to 04:00 (45 minutes long).
When - Tuesday 3rd March on RTÉ 2

The Bridge. Series 1, episode 5.

This is when it starts on E4 below:
12 days ahead of Ch4 as someone's noted & RTE will be 4 episodes ahead at that stage.

    Time - 23:00 to 00:00 (1 hour long).
    When - Sunday 8th March on E4

The Birthday Present. Series 2, episode 1

    Hope that helps you.

No problem, i was reminded of the ad E4 had for it, but you'd never know RTE were showing it, with the lack of respect they have with their US shows. :(

I've seen most of this series already, starts out GREAT, but yeah becomes a little soap operatic towards the middle of the season. Might be first season jitters, I'll wait till the final series before passing judgement. x.gif

Its strange they ended up filming 13 shows, unlucky. Samaire Armstong was one of few fav characters on the show.

I see the links below, that Eli Stone was canned as well, another late nite show on RTE & its another ABC show.

How can you tell what network has some shows & how many networks are there?

Maybe the wrong place to ask ? :)
