I want to improve my macro, withough buying a macro lens.

Currently i have used a panasonic super zoom with Nikon 4T and 5T close up lens/filters.

They are great but I want to understand how much more magnification they give when screwed onto my sigma 700-300mm

Also I want to get an extension tube, but again, i want to be able to work out what extension tube, when attched to a specific lens will give me what magnification.

Are there simple formulae to work this data out?
