I came across this recipe and am thinking of making it soon. However it calls for a bottle of beer to be added and I haven't a clue what one I should use! Never cooked with beer before.

    Anyone have any tips?

I'd imagine something pale like Heineken or Carlsberg would do the trick. Don't use one of those cheap beers, it could ruin it.

Yeah, I would use a standard lager for something like that.
