Sky box used as fta missing channels

I've got two sky boxes both in use as fta boxes. Why confuses me is that the channel line up is different on both. The 'working' box has bbc 1 as 101 and bbc 2 as 102. The wonky lineup box has the bbcs listed as 141,142 and the rts as 101 and 102. I've done an update but the channels are still in the 'incorrect' order. Any ideas?

The wonky box as you call it is either programmed for ireland or is there an inactive card in it. If there is an old viewing card in it. Remove the card and unplug the box for two minutes and then switch it on without the card.Do not re-insert the card.

If there isnt a card already inserted and channel 101 is rte..then there is 2 solutions to your problem.

1. The first more practical in my opinion is to get an FTV card, this will program the box for the channel lineup 101 bbc1 but you will get additional channels such as channel 4 and channel 5 to name but a few.

2. The second option is to goto channel 501(Sky News). Place an old card in the box, press the red circle to load interactive. Once it has loaded remove the card and hit backup. The box will restart and channel 101 will become bbc. However this isn't permenant if you unplug the box at any stage you will have to repeat the steps above.
