    Hi All,

B&H is offering a $200 (yes, dollars) rebate on the 40D, 1D Mk III, 1Ds Mk III, and 5D.

The only downside is that you have to have an address in America to qualify.

    Further details here

Why are you surprised at that? B&H is a shop in the States!!! Also dont forget to declare it in customs when you get back to Dublin. You have to pay 21% vat or else you are a smuggler. Buy in Ireland, support jobs in the Photo Industry here or at least buy in the EU.

Not all members are living in Ireland.

The whole matter of the thread was that there is a rebate available to US customers

+1. Even if you're not in the States, you might know someone who is and who would be able to facilitate getting the discount. Next time, I'll keep my good finds to myself... I don't want to start all this over again.

If you want to start a discussion on buying here vs elsewhere, please start a new thread. This thread was for information on the deal.
