PCMCIA card does Analogue and Digital TV.

Any recommendations for 3rd party program for SD MPEG4 AVC H.264 reception of 5Mhz mux rather than usual 8MHz?

Have you checked DVBDream freeware? That is my pick DVB software. It never ceases to amaze me what it can do.
I'm looking for recommended USB hardware for DTT.

USB is not great period, and 2.0 is minumum due to potential traffic.

I returned the Kworld NB-TV220 PCMCIA / Cardbus TV card to Maplin
    • Blue Screen of death twice: I NEVER have BSOD
    • Have to rescan all and lose all channel settings to rescan new Mux: Thus no good for travel.
    • No 5MHz DTT setting
    • No MPEG4
    • No 3rd party support, so no soft cam/Card reader (legitimate viewing cards).
    • Ugly big KWorld branding/logo on video window
    • Separate aerial sockets.
    • Bug version of Install shield (seen on a few other programs too): Installer only work in 640x480 256 colour mode!
    • Erratically scanned RTE channels (common problem though)
    • No de-interlacer, rubbish to watch with sideways scrolling titles or sideways movement: Severe PC screen conversion Comb artifacts.

Unless your laptop screen can refresh at 50Hz or 100Hz and the SW has good deinterlace, laptop TV is terrible. All European TV is 25fps.
