Rescue Me - Season Four (IRL Discussion)

Anybody know if Season 4 of Rescue Me is going to be shown on RTE this year. Thought season 3 was being shown this time last year?

They did show series 3 last year. Series 4 was a terrible let down. The quality of the show plummeted in my opinion.

It wasn't as good as the first 3, but I still really liked it. They guy who plays Sean is a comedy genius. He has some brilliant moments in season 4.

Indeed. Any season where fans have developed a whole "it's all a dream" theory to excuse it can't be be a good thing (see TWOP forums and other places).

I haven't seen it yet. I'm just wondering if RTE are going to be showing the 4th season, or are we going to have to watch it on youtube or something...I agree the standard of the show has deminished, its the same with 90% of all TV series. I'd say Leary couldn't get tired of all the cash he's getting from it...unreal amount id say. Sometimes you have to laugh at the blatant product placement, like the Cadillac Escalade Sheila gave him!!!

Yer useless!!! Got onto RTE. They said that they have bought the viewing rights to season four but dont have a date set for when they're going to show it...

Yep.. best do that.

There's a full Rescue Me - Season 4 (US) thread around somewhere but it discusses storyline up to the end of the season, so best avoid it.

It was a below par season, but there are some big events... stay away from the USA thread if you want to be surprised!

I caught it last night. Got a bit of a land at the end.

I certainly didn't think the quality has plummeted but maybe that happens later on.

Although with Johnnie dead it is never going to be as good.

What happened at the end of ep 1

Tommy went to an apartment. Went inside where there was a woman on the couch. Turns out it's Sheila. She says "We have 2 million waiting for us and you're fcuking it up" (or something along those lines)

Season 5 is starting in the US on July 1. I'm enjoying Season 4. Maybe not as good as the previous 3 but still at 90%. RM at 90% is still a hell of a lot better than a lot of shows at 100%.

Good ol RTE strike again rescue me isn't on till 00:25 tonight!!! Like seriously they make it as difficult as they can for people to watch the programmes they have.. it's so annpying no doubt it'll be on a different time again next week:mad:

Cheers for the bump and reminder to post about Season 5, Scorpio Girl.

Season 5 will debut in the US on April 7th.. so I'd expect it to be a few months before RTÉ gets it.

Its not on FX in the States until mid-April, so its too early to ask them.
