    Hi all,
Next September, myself and my girlfriend are thinking of flying into San Francisco, driving around California and returning to SF. Roughly I want to cover Yosemitee Park, Death Valley, Las Vegas, Grand Canyon, over to San Diego, La, then up the coast and finish by staying in SF for a few days.

Can anyone recommend some must see places along that route and how long would be needed to complete this route staying a couple of day in the main places?
Nothing is booked yet and am open to any ideas or recomendations.

    Thanks!

I am doing something sinular at the end of August. What I am doing is going down highway 1 to San Diego am going to see Santa Barbera (although I dont know much about it my friend wants to see it so thats why I am doing it Highway 1 is a must do, going to drive trough Joshua Tree Nat Park and Mohave Valley on the way to Las Vegas what you have in mind is good also dont forget to do the hoover dam. Also make sure you stock up on water as Death Valley and the Grand Canyon can reach over 50 degrees.
