Am I Entitled to Holiday Pay?

I work part-time while in college for a public hospital. Basically I have a cool relationship with my boss whereby she puts me down for hours - ten hours each weekend - unless she hears otherwise, i.e. I want a weekend off or have exams coming up. I can also get time off during the summer for travelling for a month or two no problem. So I guess I'm a casual part-worker. I've been there for about three years now. But I don't have a contract. I don't get sick leave when I don't come in, and I don't get holiday pay.

It's a bit annoying though. I do the exact same job as two other people who work evenings, four on then four off. They've been there for years and I assume they have contracts. They get sick pay when they don't come in, and work up loads of hours of holidays.

I asked my boss last summer about holiday pay - I thought I read somewhere that for every 8 hours you work you're entitled to 1 hour of holiday pay, or something to that effect, despite being a part-time worker with no contract.

Is this true? I've been there almost every weekend now for three years, and I ocassionally do a week or two of full time day work now and again when they're stuck and I'm off college. It's just annoying that I don't get holiday pay, but am I entitled to it?
