    Gomi and Ishida should be there but oh well... it looks brilliant. The Aoki - JZ fight should be brilliant. I hope Aoki submits him off his back

    I agree. But even the production value in PRIDE was fantastic. When i was in America a few months back I saw on sale these 5 event boxsets called "PRIDE: The Legendary Early Years" and they went up to PRIDE 28 (Silva vs Rampage 2) and I also bought the PRIDE MW GP 2003 too. Best $130 Ive ever spent.

    Ishida's in it, his opponent just hasn't been named yet. They've only announced half the fights for this tournament. Gomi is fighting for World Victory Road on Wednesday. Barnett and Misaki are also on that card

    I think the whole spectacle of it all mattered a lot! As well as the actual fighters themselves. They'd have gotten nowhere initially if it wasn't for Takada and then Sakuraba, not enough people would have had interest in it. If nothing mattered but the fights then Ogawa vs Yoshida wouldn't have done such a huge audience for PRIDE two years ago
