Canon iP4500 problems

    Hi folks,

Bought a Canon iP4500 almost three weeks ago. I had a few problems getting it to print initially as it kept selecting the rear paper slot which was empty, however it began working properly (no obvious reason) after about a half-hour and worked fine until last weekend.

It's attached to the main PC and the laptop connects via the wireless LAN. Setting the printer up on the laptop went flawlessly - until Saturday.

It still prints perfectly from the main PC, but if I print from the laptop it always tries to print from the rear tray and fails, irrespective of the selected tray.

I've tried all of the usual stuff: deleting the printer from the laptop & re-installing; downloading a new driver (it was the latest version anyway), etc. Nothing works. The only guess that I can come up with is that there was a Windows Update during last week which broke the network printing facility.

Running XP Home on the desktop & XP Pro on the laptop.

Anyone else had this problem or can offer a suggestion?

    Thanks,

    Niall
