I'm trying to load MP3s on to the Nano from window media player. The songs are going onto the Ipod, but not appearing. I know that they are on there because if I plug the ipod in and explore with windows it is appearing.

Can songs be loaded with WMP? I can't use itunes as it won't work on this version of windows. If not, what is the best way to load these song on to the ipod.

    Please help

    Hi there,

I've downloaded everything from my windows media player to an Ipod classic using the following:

    www.mgtek.com/dopisp

It worked perfectly. It changed all my files from wma to mp3 and synched without a hitch.

Has anyone tried this recently, or is there a better way of syncing with WMP to an ipod Nano?

The link in the post above yours appears to be the only free solution, unsure of how well it works. Personally I use SharePod for managing my iPod library.

The better way is iTunes, which is free.

Some people seem to hate iTunes for some reason but it is actually very good - The Mac version is, at least.

iTunes allows you to create smart playlists, which alone makes it worth using. By smart, I mean you can have a playlist which contains, say, songs you have only played twice. As you use that playlist, and a song gets played a third time, it is removed from the playlist.

The windows version can convert unprotected WMA files to MP3, AAC and a couple other formats.
