Don't really know what is wrong with me.

I cant seem to be able to motivate myself at all, I just dont seem to have energy or a will to do very much other than sit in front of my p.c. I am self employed and find it hard to get going for work or look for work. just feel so uninterested in everything.
It sucks big time but i cant really change it or feel like i can do anything.
    kinda worried ???

Well while you are on the computer you could send off your CV to a few job agencies or job websites, at least that would be some use of your time.

Probably best to take up a hobby or something at this point. It sounds a bit premature to see a mental health professional(unless you think otherwise) so my best advice is to MAKE yourself active. Do something you find fun, if you can try to do it with people you like.
Also, try to do something creative or anything which gives you a sense of accomplishment each day.

I agree. i started looking around and got Very lazy. everytime i went on to a job site i'd lose patience and give up after two minutes.
but LAst night i went into a few of them and i only actually applied for one job but i Uploaded my CV onto a few of them and so far today ive had two Emails from Employers and two calls from agencies.

Have you been like this for a while though?? or just recently??

Maybe you're at home and alone too much?
Get out for a 10 minute walk in the morning - early - even if it's just to the newsagents - and maybe you'll find you've a bit more energy to get started. Get up in the morning at 8 or so. It can be difficult to motivate yourself when you're on your own.
But maybe I'm just imagining you're working alone from home in your self-employment?

sounds more to do with low self esteem than anything about not sending cvs off.
you arent doing anything cos you dont feel good.

i would advise some exercise to be honest.
    healthy body healthy mind.
start sending cv's off also, but get into a gym or start running or something.

you'll fell better after two weeks of exercising.

Id advise getting some exercise, for a while there i was stuck in a rut of having no energy & i wouldnt be bothered doing anything, then i started exercising & now i have loadsa energy, feel a lot better about myself & thus i want to do more things...its hard to start exercising & sometimes its hard to motivate yourself to exercise but after you exercise you feel tons better. I got a fitness dvd and workout to that.

    Give up the smokes.
    Excercise.
    Go for a walk.
Go meet a friend for coffee that you haven't talked to in at least 6 months.

Going unreg for this. I get like this sometimes - I'm self-employed too, and procrastination and lack of motivation are real killers. A couple of suggestions that I've found helpful:

    - the best cure for procrastination is to just do something. Do something that you should be doing, and tell yourself you'll do it for 5 minutes. Then get stuck into it. After 5 minutes, you'll find it's not that bad or boring, and you'll probably keep at it.

    - work gives you confidence and motivation, look at it that way. There's no better feeling than a good day's work, it really sets you up for the evening, and a good week's work really sets you up for the weekend.

    - for some people, a bit of exercise and a healthy diet are needed for mental health. Check the Fitness forums on here, and maybe look at cutting out junk food a bit (I'm assuming here) and going for a walk/jog/cycle/swim (again, I'm assuming).

Hope this helps. I've found that the 7 Habits book is a great help with motivation and beating off procrastination. Motivation is like a muscle, and you flex it by Doing Things. The more things you do, the more motivation you'll get.

A lot of people think of work in a 19th century industrial revolution way - maybe it's an evolutionary thing. But work can be challenging, stimulating, interesting and enjoyable. But at the end of it, if you really hate what you're doing, maybe you should look at doing something else. 'Love' is a verb - you can grow to love your work.

Good luck. Post back and let us know how you're doing.

You could be mildly depressed. It could be very helpful to talk to a professional about how your life is going. This place is great: http://www.clanwilliam.ie/ , if you want to talk to a professional psychologist. In fact they are the best trained in Ireland as the institute is run by Professor Alan Carr, who is responsible for training clinical psychologists in UCD and who has literally written the book on adult clinical psychology. https://rms.ucd.ie/ufrs/w_rms_cv_show.show_public?user=Alan.Carr@ucd.ie
The fees are €110 an hour, which sounds very expensive but I think it would really be worth it. You would probably only have to have a small number of sessions. If you want to run your own business then I think you need some kind of personal coaching to increase your motivation and enjoyment of work and life. There really isn't any substitute for meeting someone face to face. You can get lots of advice over the internet but I think you would be much better off talking to a trained professional that you can trust. They will give you the most effective solution to your problems and each time you go back to them they will assess how you've been getting on and look at how you can progress further.
