Ive created a post on photographyireland.net asking if anyone is interested in doing a night shoot in dublin city centre ( as i recently got my new tripod!).

I want to extend the invite to all here also.

Ive never done this before so advice from more expirienced folk on a good location within the city centre would be appriciated. ( stephens green and along the liffey such as batchellors walk or the keys spring to mind).

anyway let me know if your interested and we can all discuss a time and date that suits everyone best.

it would be great if a few experts came along to offer a bit of advice to the new guys.

let me know what you think.

I recently spent about 7 hours walking the city at night, taking random shots, just trying to get to grips with photography.

Grafton Street was excellent, some interesting buildings, some street performers that i got some great shots of, down around Trinity there are lots of interesting things to take photo's....all the various bridges make good photo ops as well. Even managed to get some nice stuff on O Connell Street.

Have very little photography experience but would be interested in this if you didn't mind a photo noob tagging along?

There was also a few suggestions of a strobist type meet, you can see the videos on youtube for examples.

time it with the tides so that the liffey is nearly full, its make a lot of difference to the night shots since you get the light reflection on the water, ive done that area a few times and can still go down there and get something completely different., im thinking about a good shot of O Connell street in the early hours so as to get the street empty, id really need to get a bit higher to get the pic i have in my head.,
