IMAP4 problems on E61i

I configured my IMAP4 mailbox on the E61i phone yesterday, but it seems as if it is not synchronising the inbox. I have checked in the synchronisation settings, and inbox is ticked as a folder so synchronise (think that is IMAP4 standard anyway?). outgoing emails work fine, and I have also checked that the incoming server is the correct one - it is not complaining of wrong settings when I connect, it is just that nothing is retrieved.

Is there anything that you have to do on the server side to get this to work?

I am not sure why it says "Unix path" in "IMAP4 folder path" but I suppose that is default?

I am not aware of the IMAP4 server using and encryption, or any specific port, I just have no encryption and default port in the settings.

Can the IMAP4 be confused due to the fact that I have all the email from that address forwarded to my gmail address but a rule set that all emails should still be kept in the inbox of the IMAP4 server?

Using my college email, incoming server imap.ucd.ie, outgoing mail.ucd.ie
Did you change the presets for the IMAP folder path?

no i did not change it.

there should be imap settings on the ucd website?
