Problems with internet browsers

    hi,

    Just wondering if anyone can help.

    I recieved a virus, well what i presume was a virus on my computer, possibly a worm. It was an ms dofile that was downloaded. Anyway, ever since it was downloaded i havent been able to access the internet through IE or firefox. I know its not the internet connection because my laptop is working fine on the wireless connection.

    I have tried reseting the winsock connection, and resetting the settings in IE but it just doest see, to be working. I keep getting this adress is not valid page. I want to download a virus scanner but obvioulsy cant as i cant connect to the net. Head is wrecked at this stage,

    Does this sound familiar to anyone or has anyone got any ideas?:confused:

    Download AVG onto your laptop, burn to CD or copy to USB stick and transfer to the desktop.
