    Hi,

I'm currently receiving Freeview on a set-top box. I'm in Letterkenny and am picking up the Limavady signal.
I get most of the channels I want. BBC1-3, ITV1-4, Film4, Five, Five US, E4, More 4, UKTV History, Dave, Sky3, Sky News and a bunch of music channels. (probably get about 60 channels in total, TV & Music)
It's a roof based antenna and there's a booster of some kind in the attic.

    Now,

I recently bought one of those PCs from Aldi for my movies & music and am expecting my surround system any day.

    However,

I also have a DVB-T card in the PC and Windows Media Center (Vista). I scanned for stations using it and get only 15 channels (mostly music) and none of the good ones, and only Sky 3 & Dave TV.
    Why???

I bought a signal booster in Homebase and it gives me more channels, but still the crappy ones.

Is there something I'm missing ? Is the TV card rubbish or is there something else I could do?

I know you can 'piggy-back' the set-top box with Media Center but I really don't wanna do that as it's messy... (and I don't have an external remote sensor and an IR control cable, and don't wanna buy one if it's not necessary)

    All help gratefully received !
    PK.

    Hi,

I too have an aldi pc (medion 8818) and can pick up most DVB-T stations from 3 rock - no problems. Am not sure why your having your issues, but if you can't get an answer here then try http://www.medionsupport.com there should be a forum for your machine if not the card is likely to be the same one used in the last few pcs so post away.
