Bluetooth connection speeds will be far, far too slow to stream a movie or transfer a movie of any decent quality. Also, its highly unlikely that a HDD will be able to interface with a USB dongle unless it has some kind of OS on board.

You can get a wireless router that has usb ports on it. You could connect the hard drive to it and stream videos that way.

how exactly would i go about doing that?
Its for a place im livin with a few mates we all have laptops and just figured would be kinda cool if could put all the movies on a hard drive somewhere in the house and be able to access it without plugin a usb cable into it directly.
Can you watch directly from the hard drive or will i have to drag off it and then watch it
