they posted this update, maybe they had some problems after they changed over to a new billing system....rest assured, the new site is still as tacky and amateur as ever!

The new Ryanair.com website is now up and running. However, due to phenomenal demand some customers are experiencing some delays during the booking process. We are working to resolve these issues as quickly as possible and ask that customers bear with us during this time.

Still very slow, baggage costs have increased. Worst of all the facility they used to have for listing fares for 10 days each side of the desired dates appears to have disappeared. This was very useful as it was easy to pick the best prices available

I coulda sworn they introduced a "flexible date search"

To find lowest fares select "book now" at the top of the home page. Then tick "my travel dates are flexible". The fares for 6 days are displayed.

Whats the deal with the 1p flights????

Are these flights from England as 1p rather than 1c
Is there limited travel requirement i.e days of week etc

There is absolutly no further information on the web site.

I'm booking flights to Malaga from Dublin and the cost has'nt changed from the quote last week.

There's details on their website now of the 1p flights - can only travel on Tues or Wed up until end of June (excl bank hols and school hols). There's a link on their front page with details now.

    Site is a nightmare today.

I've got in a couple of times but when I enter my details, I get pop-up message saying "Passenger (1) please confirm that you hold a valid EEA/EU passport or National Identity Card". I can't get further than this - there's no such tick box or anything.

Looks like their 3 days work has done more damage than good...

Yes this must be a disaster for Ryanair. They will lose big time if people can not book. I can see a big legal case coming up. I would not like to be the company
    installing the new system!

    I don't think it's a disaster at all.

They advertise a 1c sale and everyone gets excited. Lots of publicity for Ryanair. Then they conveniently let their website get overloaded and produce errors so no-one can book 1c flights. Perfect!

Just booked flight to Blackpool, but final confirmation said "Confirmation: Pending" until I receive the itinerary by email. Weird.

heard Michael defending the new website on Today FM. It doesn't look a whole lot different to the old one to me

Did anyone else noticed that "my travel dates are flexible" is gone? is there any other way to check a range of dates?

Ryanair never offered this option - the low fares finder has been removed alright but I'm sure that will be back once they get the system more stable

After the upgrade on the website they took off the "Low fare finder" and they added the "my travel dates are flexible" or similar name, it was in the "Book Now" on the right hand side just under the "Destination" drop down.

ryanair dont seem to be on skyscanner anymore.
is there any other flight comparison websites that are decent (like skyscanner was??)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 497 ✭✭lasno

Ryanair have blocked the comparison sites from accessing their system.

www.dohop.com is quite a good site too.
