iTunes PC problem

Each time i open iTunes the iTunes library is completely clear of all music.
The music files still exist in the Itunes music folder. But will not remain in the playlist in the program.

    - I have reinstalled iTunes.
    - I have downloaded older versions of iTunes, same thing happens.

Any ideas what is going wrong here? Thanks.

After you import the music, you close iTunes and reopen it and the library is blank?

The file it tells me to move to desktop is "corrupted and unreadable". As is the file it tells me to delete.

I can not move them, delete them.
