    Hi,

Can anyone recommend a good forest/trail run close to cork city to break up training for a marathon, something like 4 or 5 miles would be ideal.

    thanks
    Corkfella.

Currabinny Woods is located about 3-4 miles from Carragaline. Never been running there but have heard of people going for walks there. I think the main circuit around the Woods can take approx. 1 hour to walk so that should be the 4-5 miles you're looking for.

Farran Woods is good - a couple of loops so can mix up. About 3 miles past Ballincollig turn left at Dan Sheehans pub. The National Rowing Centre is up there as well.
