Took a stroll on the strand around Booterstown yesterday to clear the head.
Saw a few other camera wielders too - anyone else there?

Anyhow here's a couple from a small set I took.
I found the bottle on the beach and really liked the old-school look. :)

Jeez, 48 views and not even a "bottle needs straightening" remark!

AND I have to live with the shame of bumping my own thread off the dreaded "page 2" (i.e. oblivion) ... :p

:D I really feel that you should have added some music to that "page 2" statement - like "dundunduuunnn" :D Anyway we've all been there! Some end up on page 3 and beyond without comment!! ;)

I like #2, it shows how a landscape can be so changed, improved, by a simple object. Well done.

Out of the set ripples2b is my favourite. Nicely captured.

I looked at these this morning and I'm surprised they didn't get any comments. I really like them.

#1 has good colours, DoF and composition. Really simple but very effective. It could look good as a mono conversion with a good boost of contrast?

#2 has a real nice cool tone & smooth feel to it which comes through with the soft background against the soft lines & distortion of the in focus bottle.

Yea, get the name from the old style straight razors, they make great bait for fishing, they show a small hole in the sand, you pour table salt in and they come to the surface "some useless information for ya":D
