Shipping a bike

I'm trying to get my bike shipped to Belgium but am having difficulties finding a freight company to do it. Anyone any ideas?

Even if I could find somewhere to buy a crate it would help. Anyone know where I might get one in the Dublin area?

    Cheers.

    Hi

    Don't know to be honest

What sort of bike is it, If it were big enough, could be a pleasant drive for yourself!!

Have done this many times, if it's a small bike borrow/hire a van and pick it up yourself, if it's big enough for the motorways it is a very easy ride from Belgium to Ireland via the UK, just fly over and ride down to the tunnel in Calais and a 5 hour ride up the M2/M25/M1/M6/M56/A55 will have you in Holyhead and book the fast ferry to Dublin, alternatively use the M2/M25/M4 to Fishguard if you want to come in via Rosslare. Any of the major freight companys will pick it up for you and deliver it, but be warned this will cost you a lot more that the DIY option.

just reverse what rainman says. You'll enjoy the ride if the bike has any power.

I brought two bikes from the UK and used these guys:

    Adam James
    Headstocks Transport Co.
    21 Howitts Gardens
    Eynesbury
    St Neots
    Cambs
    PE19 2PD

    01480 404229
    077 294 33 293

    email: info@headstockstransport.co.uk

I suppose they would like to go back with something rather than empty, sometime !

And, to drop it off in Belgium shouldn't be a big deal for them, either.

Worth a try - ask for Claire.
