    Hi everyone,

So I have been working for the same company for a year now (straight from college) and my yearly review which should include a pay increase is today. I don't have any idea what the typical increase is or what to ask for but a lot of people said I should get at least 10%. Can anyone let me know what they got or what people they know got???

I am not asking for how much they or you earn but simply how much of a % increase you got.......I am an engineer if that helps.

    Thanks!

Was in the exact same scenario as yourself last Thursday. Got the increase i asked for, which was a fair amount (more than 10%) but that was more due to me being underpaid for the job initially. I am just on a reasonable salary now, nothing remarkable, and I will prob look for another pay review in 6 months.

10% sounds like a decent raise as long as the initial salary is ok. I think you should decide on a figure that you are happy with and ask for it. If you can't agree on a figure try comprimising but negociate a review in another 6 months rather than a year.

Hope it goes ok. I was absolutely sh!tting it going in, and they left me sweating on it for a day.

oh by the way, I am in Engineering also..
