ipod classic - turns off randomly

    I bought an ipod last month and a docking station too. The ipod appears to power off randomly... has anyone experience this/any suggestions as to what is causing it?

    It never leaves the dock and is fully charged at all times.

    Do you mean turn off while you're playing music or just turn off when it's not being used? If you're not using it the sleep function kicks in after about 20 seconds. If it's when you're using it then i'd bring it back to where you bought it and look for a new one.
