    Hi,

Running costs for this game means we must charge a minimum of €15 per head. €5+ is used on food/refreshments. Other costs, transport etc, are taken from the remaining 10%.

Our original plan was to have between €200 and €300 entry fee but discussions with our regular players was the basis of the €100 cost. Players wanted a FO tournie where they could get to the IO main event without paying approx. €300. Needless to say if the entry fee was €200 or more the reg would not be 15%. Higher entry fees at 10% would allow dealers at each table.

Providing dealers would push the cost above reg fees so we would not be in a position to hold this in the first place.

I would also welcome feedback from all if there is interest in a €300 + €30 dealer dealt game on 15.03.2008 (subject to venue availability and IO transfer of ticket ownership rules)

15 is fine on 100 game in a event outside a casino, also the structure is very good with 12k starting stack. Very few pub games have dealers and also you get food in this game, which I'm sure you guys will each plenty off.

If this was a 200 game and you paid 20, you would say nothing and there still would be no dealers. The fee for the game shouldn't be totally based on the entry fee, the 10% charge is only a average which people use. It actually piss me off to play a 500 game and pay 50 reg and still get no food and table service is poor, but I didnt hear anyone hear moan about that recently.

Ideal sat would be 100 with a 50 rebuy or top up with starting stack of 5k and rebuy of 5k or top up of 6k. Than average spend is 150 with 15 reg fee, which might keep some people happy.

I agree that 15 Reg isnt too exorbitant, I for one plan on playing this event - the €115 buyin means it is open to more "ordinary gamblers" rather than having to fork out €300 + to qualify.

For a pub game, I think thats an excellent structure. I think the €15 is fine. If I ran an outside game in a pub/hotel and it was €100 F/O, it wouldnt be possible without asking that much reg.(specially as hes including food)

Thanks for the feedback. Had toyed with a similar idea but decided to keep entry costs as low as possible. Most of our players are from our pub games and may not pay higher entry fees - really want to make this attractive for as wide an audience as possible. We ran one on Saturday 23rd Feb (Congratulations Stephen, great game) with 47 runners. Feedback is very good with most available and eager for the next one. We have advertised locally and by word of mouth but would like to hit the 90 player mark to see 2 players go through. And if not 90 runners then decent cash prizes for top finishers.

Understand that at €150 only 30 runners are required per ticket, 3 max, and keeps the reg at 10% but again player feedback was the deciding factor.
