Thats a bit steep for 30 mins! If it was an hour each, that'd be fair! Thanks for the advice!

    Hey,

I teach drum lessons, and the way I charge is 30eur per lesson; reducing to 100eur for four, and I always insist that they book 4 in advance (in case the person doesn't turn up, then you've already been paid for your time so it's up to them.)

About the half hour lesson thing, it really depends on the student; if you're teaching kids (who have short attention spans don't forget) then half an hour is more than enough; a point to note also is that when parents are paying, the money isn't an issue so don't feel scabby for taking their money for little johhny to grow up and be the best little rock star in the suburbs, all thanks to you, the trusty pedagogue!!

I always say the lesson will be half an hour, but always, always let it run on to 45 mins to an hour, you need to give them time to play and get warmed up and all that..

Hope that's helpful; best of luck, it's a really rewarding passtime, and can turn into a full time thing if you play your paradiddles right a-hahahaha!!!

If anyone's interested in taking lessons, please see my post on the lessons-offered and requested thread plug plug!! :D
