    whats the best way to copyright your songs?is IMRO the best route to take?any advice appreciated

    IMRO don't copyright songs you're merely registering with them for royalty purposes so unless you (or someone else) is playing your music live or on the radio there's not much point until that starts happening - besides you automatically own the copyright of something you create - it is good to keep a record of the time and date it was written though.

    my bro had a simular issue a couple of years ago he made up a cd and sent it to himself registered post (sealed envelope/dated etc) i believe he still has the unopened parcel somewhere and it should stand up in court. there was an issue with copy right and it ended up in court and this method worked :)

    so if youre gigging your,re better to be member of imro? just few years ago i did a gig and some guy wanted to know could he sing 1 of my songs at a gig he was doing,and i sorta panicked,not knowing wat to do,sounds stupid i know!
