    DTLite is freeware, others cost money and theres different levels afaik, Please be careful if installing Daemon Tools Lite to disable the toolbar installation as it is malware,

    Daemon tools before v4.x was just DT; there's a pro version available for a price and the free version known as DT is now DT-L.

    Or so I've gathered.

    Correct, although there is a daemon tools pro free but with mandatory adware, heres the ones afaik:
    Daemon Tools Lite-Mounts cd images/really like version 3, formarly called just "Daemon Tools"
    Daemon Tools Pro Basic-Creates/Mounts images, is free like above one but actually requires adware (In above one its optional)
    Daemon Tools Pro-You mpay for this one, gives you allowance to make more virtual drives? Make and mount cd images etc... This one costs money
