Much better games than the previous two today

French seem to be running for everywhere.

Fancy the English esp when the French don't have a decent kicker

Running rugby is great and all, but not from your own feckin tryline.

I'm a neutral observer here (South African) - just enjoying Lievremont's stuttering experiment.

sources* say thatthe foundation he is using in the second half is from the mayballine range... mayme he´s worth it..

Johnno's radar is a wee bit off in the 2nd half.

It's not the foundation that's causing chatter round the water fountain... it's that alluring lipstick.

Loving the camera shots from above the mauls as they camped on the line. Great win for England. 6N wide open now. Fair play to England. 24-13

Its late we'v won France are reliving the RWC give us a break.

I love France loosing. I love France being destroyed in the forwards.

Morale of this story today is that you dont always win a game of rugby by playing good rugby

What a prime example of pick and drive without conceding a penalty. How many phases did England go through on France's 5m line? Focking class. EOS needs to take notes.

Fair play to England, Sackey ftw

    + 1 - Possibly the closest ever

I think we can beat Wales, France will beat Italy and Eng will beat Scotand - leaving 4 teams level on points going into the last round. Has that ever happened before??????????

The 2 wooden spoon contenders would then play off between themselves leaving the 4 contenders to shoot it out

I'd say we need France to beat Wales, as I don't see us overhauling their points difference. I imagine that's reasonably likely though. The issue is that France, though with a worse points diff at the moment, are likely to beat Italy fairly comfortably, leaving us needing a healthy margin against Wales (possible) and England (unlikely).

I find those odds surprising. Wales, with their two most difficult matches to come, are on far too short odds imo.

yeh but even if they only win one of their next 2 games they could still easily win the tournament, as their points difference is quite big at the moment. I reckon they will be found out though and lose them both .

Wales could easily win as they have by far the most astute coaching team in Warren Gatland and Shaun Edwards, and also because none of the other teams are any great shakes. France are clearly in transition. I commend the new coach for attempting to return to the classic French flair but it was shambolic to watch them tonight.
England as George Hook would say as just a Blugeon, wheras Ireland have problems of their own - lineout particularly at the moment.
Gatland will come to Croker with a real gameplan.

Thats pretty much it, Wales are good but, as usual, not as good as they think they are...Gatland/Edwards have brought confidence and belief which covers up a multitude of sins...But having said that I think we could give them a fright at Croker...

I would fundamentally disagree with Hooky there, England's performance last night was a very clever and astute one. They used the French intent to play running rugby at all costs against them very effectively and took their opportunities when presented. Instead of merely out-muscling the French they outthought them...

Great win for England. I'm glad we exposed France's frailty up front two weeks ago for England to take advantage of. It's just a pity we didn't realise it earlier in the match ourselves! Lievremont has really got to concentrate hard on his pack.

If we beat Wales at Croker Wales will crumble against France. Their mentality isnt ready for a loss and either are their supporters
