Windows not reading extra drives

    Hi

Was wondering if anyone could offer some advice - I recently wiped my pc & installed windows etc etc, up until the instal everything had been working fine - I have two hard disks in my machine, a 250 & 150GB & after the clean install windows only recognises one & its not even the right size! (its reading it at 120GB or something like that)

I flashed my BIOS to the latest release but still nothing. All drivers are installed as far as I'm aware so I'm not sure what to do next - any suggestions?

    Thanks

Right click on My Computer, select manage, select Disk Management. How many drives are in there?

I only see the C drive in the top window when I do this, also there appears to be 105 GBs unallocated space - it can't be a partition as I deleted everything before the reinstall?

I can see the secondary drive in the bottom section which is unallocated?

    Any ideas?

Thanks for your response - appreciated

When you reinstalled, did you set the partition size to 120gb when you were installing? TBH, it sounds like you formatted both your drives.

I just followed a basic guide I found on the net - I don't recall setting any size or anything - I just formatted my second hard disk within windows then intalled windows after formatting using this disk for the main drive.

What do I need to do from here ?

I've discovered that when re-installing xp with an instal disc that does not include service pack 2 it defaults to 130gb no matter what size drive is installed.

It was recommended that I track down software called norton ghost and attempt to stretch my available 130gbs to include all the unallocated disk space. However, how do I get it to recognise my other installed secondary drive - any ideas tech-heads?

I'm pritty sure its partition magic (made by norton now) is what you want for making unallocated space useable, norton ghost is a backup app, allows you to clone images of your hard disk afaik...
