Extra TV Points in house

Lads, I was thinking of putting tv points in my two spare bedrooms. I currently have a tv point in the sitting room and my master. bedroom. I have an aerial and sky. I can watch whatever is channel is on sky in the master bedroom.

I tried the sky eye before but it wouldn't work. Would the Global F140 4 Way be what I'm looking for?

I've attached a pic of the switcher (at least I think thats what is) I have in my attic. I also have a powered box downstairs for the aerial.

Anyway, any advice would be much appreciated.

A global F140 is a brillant amp, simply run a cable from the rf 2 off your sky box to the input and run a cable from the outputs to the rooms you require. You will need to use non isolated wall plates, easiest way of knowing what type you have is to open one and if it has a green circuit board then you will need to bypass it, if its metal is usually will be ok but I usually bypass them anyway.

I was thinking of getting a new distribution amp, and was looking at the global F180 and the SLX8B. Anyone recommend one over the other?

I'd definitely choose the Global over the SLx range.

@dubmick: that image you posted is of a masthead amplifier (Fringe Wideband 12volt 25dB gain - WB1225). Basically you need to connect your aerial to the back of Skybox and have RF2 feeding the bedroom. RF1 output feeds TV beside Skybox. I'm presuming the aerial is currently connected directly to the back of the TV from powerunit?

I agree with Byte I would choose the global 180 anyday or the bigger 16 way f280 if required..

    lads, thanks for the help.

Byte, I think my aerial is connected directly to the tv in the sitting room but also have aerial in the master bedroom. How it is connected I do not know. Does the Global F180 replace the box (I attached) that I have in the attic?

No, the amp in the attic is for boosting the aerial output.
If you own a sky box the sense of a F140/180 is to distribute RF2 from the box.
Aerial output goes to aerial input at the sky box, RF1 goes to the local TV and RF2 to the distribution amp for the other TV's.
