I know there's some marks on the top which I believe was sand or ,maybe water, it was crazy windy out.

Nice set, top and bottom the pick of these for me.

I had a look on flickr, like the look of #965, can't see larger sizes though.

like the first and last shots, first the most.
Well worth getting up at 8:00
Your sensor needs a clean (mine does as well), lots of spots showing up on the last shot

    50mm 1.8 with my EOS 400d,

I actually have to say the 1st one is also my fav out of all the one's I've taken in Tramore, however the DOF ruins some of the detail on the wood which is a shame

like the first one as well

out of curiosity, what processing did you do on the photos to get to the end result

The last shot "wave crashing into breaker wall" is stunning. I love it

I think they're quite nice - I love the postprocessing style you've chosen; 1,2, and 3 are really nice. Did you utilise a different lens on 4 and 5? It looks like you've picked up some dust spots / grease (?) Somewhat a pity as #4 is very nice too. #5 isn't for me. Too much grey maybe. Hmnn.... maybe a bit of black n white with a bit of starkness applied like you captured in #1. Good stuff.

Used lightroom to process them, used the same lens for all though I did change lens at one point but changed back again as wasn't happy with the other lens

It was very windy so lots of water and sand around which was a bloody pain, lens would get covered it fine water after only a short period due to the spray from waves.

The last one with the waves I think was just after I had been up around the railings and was stupid enough to get all one side of me soaked by the splash of a wave...which was fun.

1&2 for me all in all really nice work,I think 1 might also look well in b+w but thats only my amateur eye.

Its worth a visit alright, I'd recommend Boatstrand, Tramore, Dunmore and Woodstown

    1, 2 and 3 are really nice.

Lots of lovely contrast on that wood!
    Great stuff.

whoop finally somebody liked #3 :D

Does anyone have any technical suggestions for improvements I could make to this set?
Both in the way they were processed and shot?

Surprised I didn't spot you, I was out walking the dog down there about that time on Saturday morning. I left the camera at home though, it didn't look promising weatherwise, and that wind just sucked every bit of warmth out of exposed fingers.

That said, you've done a great job with the conditions that were in it. I like the processing in general. #1 and #2 I really like - I'm a sucker for that row of sleepers. I'd be tempted to clone out the grass sticking in at the left, it's a bit distracting. #3 doesn't really work for me with the bland sky (and probably too used to seeing it anyway). I think #4 would have worked really well from a higher viewpoint with the parallel curves of the edge of the water, the tracks, and the edge of the dunes.

Yeah I passed a fair few people out walking dogs, it wasn't very promising but at that stage I figured I was up and dressed and might as well do something productive with my time camera wise, I might of spotted you what kinda dog did you have?

I think #2 would have looked alot better with a harsh light as thats what #1 was taken with and it worked really well with the wood textures, my idea for #3 didn't really work...it was basically based on what I could do with the sky and didn't work out like I wanted but I might try processing it more

I'm inclined to agree with #4, I shouldn't have kinda kneeled down taking the shot as you can';t clearly see the tracks for as far away as I'd like.

Sky was better in this shot, this was taken about 1 second before the waves got me :)
