    Hi everyone,

This is my first time using boards.ie. Some of my friends have told me it's an excellent place for discussing different things and gathering information so I thought I'd give it a shot!

Myself and a few friends are heading to Huntington Beach California for the summer on the J1 and I was just wondering if anyone had any information on the place, accomodation, jobs etc.? I've done a bit of searching but am having difficulty good websites for looking up jobs or even getting email address just to contact some potential employers:confused:.

If anyone has any advice or information it would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks!

Pretty much the only resource you'll need for accommodation: http://orangecounty.craigslist.org/

You can find jobs on there too, but you're much more likely to find one in person when you get over there. Use the search term "Huntington" when you're searching to narrow it down and make it easier.

Great, thanks very much for the information and feedback, much appreciated! We were just a bit concerned about getting jobs over there because we've heard they after what some students did to accomodation in san diego they don't exactly favour the Irish much anymore and that we might run into difficulty. Irish bars...can't go wrong there! Does anyone know if accomodation expensive over there?
