We've recorded 3 new tracks. The intended single is rather singley and we're very happy with it but one of the other tracks is also quite strong and we're having a lot of trouble deciding.

    Opinions would be helpful.

Links in my sig - the two tracks are 'Come Home' and 'Thirty One'

    Thanks,

    Conor

hey, had a listen there, and they're both great tracks...

the thing that immediatly struck me about the first one 'come home' is that it's very close to tonight, tonight by smashing pumpkins and you might possibly catch a bit of flack off that.
Personally, I prefer the second one 'thirty one' musically, the only thing is the vocal isn't really working, it sounds like the wrong key for the singer. I'm sure you picked the most suitable key, but that's just how it sounds to me

as I said I liked em both, and I mean what I said constructively. Best of luck with whichever one you decide to release.

    Thanks for the kind words.

Interesting points koko. Is it the low vox at the start of 31 you mean? It's certainly new enough territory for the singer. I never drew that comparison between Come Home and Tonight, Tonight but I definitely see what you mean.

As you can see above, people are pretty split. I think we're going to go with 31 because it's a bit innovative - at least by our standards.

yeah, just sounds like he's reaching for the notes a bit in that part... even with that though, its still one of the best tracks i've heard from an irish band in quite a while
