Be Kind Rewind - sweded movies

IF you go to this movie's website you can see all the sweded movies and trailers they did, some of which are funny but im sure we have all done something similar in our lives too.

Anyone got some sweded movies of their own they want to post or are brave enough to do so?

I saw an advance screening of the film during the week and the strongest parts are the various sweded films and the making of them. I had a look at the site to check out their sweded films but I'm not too keen on the interface they've got.

Happily, you can see some of them on Youtube here. Interestingly, they seem to have run a bit of a promo campaign on Youtube getting people to make their own sweded versions of films. There's loads of them and quite a lot of them are pretty crap, but I reckon the following are worth watching:

Titanic
Taxi Driver
Total Recall
Blade Runner
Jurassic Park
Lord Of The Rings Trilogy (Extended Version)
Predator
Spirited Away

Yeah definitely the best part of the movie but they are actually shorter clips on the website than you will see in the film.

Will check out the youtube ones: Spirited Away sounds interesting.

Spirited away is quite well done considering it's essentially a live-action sweding of an animated film. It was particularly refreshing to see after I watched a version of Finding Nemo that was a bit crap. (I also discovered that after about an hour of watching sweded movies, I lose the ability to distinguish between good sweded films and crap ones).

the film doesn't seem as funny as i imagined it, its getting mixed reviews but kermode and late review gave it good reviews.

pity I don't know who 'fats walla' is

Hehe...I did get the impression that sweded LotR was made by a bunch of people who were less than impressed with the amount of talking and walking in the original films.

I'd say it's worth watching, but it's not as good a film as it could have been, chiefly because the script is somewhat inconsistent.

As for Fats Waller, I'd never heard of him going into the film. I don't think it really matters to your enjoyment of the film.
