Just got CS3 today and was hoping to be able to shoot in RAW and open them in P/S CS3, I seem to run into the same problem again as I previously had P/S 7
I put in the file size and it made no difference to opening the photo in P/S CS3. What am I doing wrong

What do you mean, you put in the file size?

Which camera do you have? if it's new, you may have to download an update so the raw converter can read the files...

what do you mean about file sizes? i've never heard of anything....

I have CS3 on my new laptop, and as with CS3 - adobe camera raw is installed. This is what opens when you try open .CR2 files - you simply just allow it to do the work, and it'll go ahead and open in CS3 once you tell it to.. I've never heard anything about putting in file sizes before.

There was a recent update afaik (I noticed a camera raw update today, actually) So may be worth telling it to update..

can you take a screenshot of what you're actually doing and upload it please?

Just to note, Windows Vista Gallery can now read CR2 images.

Back to the OP. CS3 can read pretty much all industry standard RAW images.

The default raw version with CS3 is 3.7. You need to download the latest version of raw from the adobe site.

Also, just run the CS3 update option, to download the latest components.

    Have you recently installed CS3?
If so, you need to click Help, then select Updates.
    Hope you have Broadband. :)

Run the update, and download the latest raw version. You'll be fine then.
