    hey guys,

I'm trying to organise an airsoft game for my colleagues in the dublin area. i have heard there are a few places (like hrta) but after checking some sites I have a few questions:

what would be a good place for beginners (dublin area)
can all the necessary equipment be rented (guns, goggles, ammo)

do any of the places accommodate lone wolves showing up (ie not showing up with 20 ppl) ? i'd be interested in trying a place before booking it for all the lads?

You can rent AEGs and masks buy ammo you must ring nonex a few days in advance to book equipment

and yes at HRTA anyway you can turn up on your own

    as i usuallydo

cool, what venue would people recommend for a bunch about 20 strong in the dublin area (raw beginners)????

i have TM glock18c (auto) & AK-47 that i want to bring. is that enough to compete against whatever the guys would be renting?

if someone can recommend me a venue, i'd like to head out for an hours game time in the next week. is that possible or must people pay for an entire day? what sort of lead time do most places need for a booking? (days/weeks/months)

hrta would be your best bet for the dublin area, yeah an ak and glock would

be a good setup, you can play half days for 15 euro

Is it a TM Ak or some other brand?

I advise going for a satuday(half or full day) at HRTA. It'll give you a good feel for the game and dont worry, we're all very willing to help so if your unsure of something just ask.

thanks for that guys. i'll try to get up there during the week (am i right in guessing that it runs 7 days a week?)

the AK i have was a cheap one bouht on eirsoft.ie . it was only 110 or so but its really good value. definitely not TM though. Glock TM is awesome (must get high cap mags for it though)

Oh, if it was 110 then I think its AandK :) Good enough to play with.

HRTA is not open on week days at this point in time unless specially aranged.

HRTA is probably the best place for a skirmish
€25 for a rental for a half day and €45 for a full day that is to the best of my knowledge

HRTA opens Saturdays and Sundays. 11am'ish until 5:30pm'ish (Paul is normally there from 10:30.)

You can rent AEG's and Mask's as well as purchase bb's.

    Costs:
Walk on All Day €25.00 (with you own AEG)
Walk on Half Day €15.00 (with you own AEG)

Rental All Day €45.00 (Entry fee + Rental Fee)
Rental Half Day €25.00 (Entry fee + Rental Fee)

Mask can be rented for €1, but are included for free when you are renting an AEG.

Bottled water is available on site, but you'll need to bring your own food.
Boots are strongly advised, especially if it has been raining. Oh, and try not wear bright colours....they make you an obvious target. You will get a little mucky, so a change of clothes might be a good idea.

You will NEED to contact Paul in advance to book the rental AEG's. I am not sure how many there are available. If needed, I can bring up a TM Ak Spetz to rent out (assuming I can attend that day.)

Everyone who attends HRTA is friendly & helpful. We are a community, not a bunch of random people. You and your friends will be made feel very welcome. Guaranteed.

    Any other questions, just ask.

Crazy: thanks for that. would hrta have the stock for 20 rentals?

any problems with opening for a week day (these guys wouldn't want to do weekends)

Romperstomper, you are in safe hands, I went with a mate of mine up to HRTA a couple of weeks ago and was a bit nervous. But everyone was very friendly, and don't let their full gear intimatidate you!! I was there on a Sunday and I was told it's alot quieter than Saturday. Make sure you are wearing boots, it could get a bit muddy...
