I have been out the country for several years, but I am returning to live permanently in Ireland in a couple of months. Just found out I am pregnant. What medical coverage am I entitled to (if any).
    Thanks.

you will get public cover for materity ... sign up with a GP as soon as you arrive, they will take it from there, you have to pay for the first visit but everything after that is free

I think all irish citizens are entitled to free maternity care.

You will need register with a GP here. Were you registered with a GP before you left?. If so perhaps you could ring them to check?

Might be an easier way someone else can tell you about.

    Very bes of luck
