Mr Oizo (pronounced Mister Wah-Zoh) real name Quentin Dupieux is famously known for his track ‘Flat Beat’, which was featured in a series of Levi’s jeans TV advertisements and became a massive hit across Europe back in 1999. Having directed short films as a teenager, Dupieux directed the ad himself. It featured a yellow puppet named Flat Eric sitting shotgun in a vehicle nodding his head to the sound of the track. Flat Eric later appeared in the music video for ‘Flat Beat’.

Oizo released his first album entitled Analog Worms Attack in 1999. In 2005 he released his second album Moustache (Half a Scissor) a worthy successor to his first debut critically described as glitchy, acid stained filterhouse with beefed up beats. 2006 and 2007 saw Oizo work on productions for Uffie, produce remixes for Kavinsky, Jamelia, Cassius, Scissor Sisters and Calvin Harris.

His first feature film, ‘Steak’, a comedy sci-fi was released in France in June of last year. He composed the score along side Sebastien Tellier, who also happened to appeared in the film.

Mr. Oizo's EP ‘Transexual’ was released on Ed Banger Records mid last year. It features a rework of 1979 disco track ‘Do It At The Disco’ by Gary’s Gang under the title Patrick122 and became a club favourite amongst all the Ed Recs crew. The latest remix from Oizo is of Jamie Lidell’s ‘Little Bit of Feel Good’ and is due for release on 14th April 2008 ahead of Lidell’s new album.
