letters appearing as numbers

    Hi folks,

    On a friends machine when tye press the letter i the number 5 appears instead, for the letter u the number 4 any dieas whats going on?

    before this occured i was working through msn remote assistance on a friends computer trying to get a mail merge working. I went into the won.ini file and had to add some lines to the mail section and reboot. I did this and now the above happens. I went back in and removed the lines but it didnt make a difference.

    Any ideas???
    Have checked num lock etc

    Num lock deffo. Is O=6 K=2 etc then num lock

    It lets the person login to their windows account using their password which contains the letter "i" but once in windows then the letters appear as numbers.

    Its on a laptop and its not the num lock, went into word and tried with num lock on and off with the same result

    Problem fixed guys.

    had to get them to press the Fn key along with Num lock *sigh*
