So a friend of mine is coming back to the ACCA after 2 years break. He failed tax by a small amount last time and doesn't want to go back to college. Is there much that has changed in the course or just the rates?

A lot of the rates would have changed alright but he might be better off getting the book on the course so if any methods have changed he'd know about it.

I'd say doing the classes again wouldn't be too worthwhile.

My personal experience for every ACCA subject is that it depends on the lecturer. I failed Tax twice & passed last Dec with quite good result. But then again it depends on you as well. For me there is no better tax lecturer than Julie Hawkins. I would say she is getting very close to 100% pass rate for her students. Simply outstanding professional!

I would seriously second that one - Julie Hawkins is brilliant!! Second to none.
