Frustrating/strange stories of Tech Support

    Last week my wireless card died, I spent 3 hours on to belkin trying to convince them get it working, every time one guy was finished he would pass me to the next guy, who wouold try the exact same thing.

    a) uninstall the drivers
    b) take out the card
    c) download new drivers

    etc etc etc.

    I did this at least 6 times, seemingly they dont keep notes, and dont believe you when you say I have done all of this already. I finally hung up and after much research I got through to a manager in England, not India, who was appalled at my story and agreed just to send out a new card for the run around I had. Still waiting for it...

    On something slightly different I heard of a company(unnamed) who made there secretery sit on tin foil because....."The static on her body from her long hair, was causeing the computer to crash" LMAO!!!

    A friend I know in tech support was telling me that a client was on to them the other day wondering if he could fit a file onto his USB stick. He asked "How big is the file" to which he got "it says beside it 85 capital M and a B". He then asked "Ok how big is your USB stick" to which he got "About 5 cm's"
