    I can't set "Stereo Mix" in Audacity or in my audio settings. The options are greyed out. I'm using an MSI P6N Platinum Mobo with onboard Realtek HD & latest drivers.

    I think you have to set the recording device on the Realtek control panel thing

    Ya, I have that done Zilog but it makes no difference.

    The Stereo Mix option is visible in both the Realtek & windows sound control panels, but it's also greyed out in both.
