download program(film) will not work

Hi i have a buddy that downloaded a torrent (dont worry its legal) anyhow it turned out it was not an avi as he expected but lots of strange files like rkia.part1.ws.pdtv.xvid-sfm.r14 how does he actually watch the program he downloaded ? after he writes the files to a dvd they dont work in the dvd player! thanks

Its a rar file (like a zip file). You can use a free program called 7Zip to extract the complete file.
Just saying, with a file name like that it sounds like illegal movie rip!
