My sister recently found this dog wandering outside her house, but couldn't take care of it due to circumstances. I would say it's roughly 2 years old, and I'm pretty convinced it's been previously owned by someone, as it's been excellent with people and seems pretty good indoors. We've tried looking for it's owner but have yet to find one.

The dog does tend to get over excited with other animals though, so it would be best if it were to be the only pet. Which falls to why I can't take care of it, as I already have numerous dogs and cats.

I have tried looking for people in my local area if they wanted it, but turned it down and the shelters would put it down due to it's "breed"...

So keep in mind, this dog is:

    - Good with people, enjoys it's walks and is very playful,

    But

    - Gets pretty excited around other animals so is not best suited for homes with numerous animals.

If interested, please don't hesitate to send me a PM :)

I'll get a picture of it tommorow once I find my camera.

    I live in Co. Dublin

I don't understand this, Staffys are usually the most docile amiable dogs, do people confuse them with pit bulls etc ? So sad.

EGAR should be able to help. If not - dont hand it into a pound, find a shelter with a no kill policy or alternatively contact an animal charity.

I would definitely be interested in taking her in. Im about to move into a house with a garden for the very first time. I was going to get a bulldog but id rather take this girl off your hands so she doesnt end up in a pound or even worse.

pit bulls are nice dog's too when they have the right owners.

anyway, maybe you could try looking for a home/foster home on http://petsireland.invisionzone.com or www.irishanimals.com and also put a found ad on www.lostandfound.ie good luck!
