    SiSi @ The Cellar Underground
    Saturday 10pm

    Yó!

Welcome to our latest hurricane of hyperbole. This week, we'll take an in-depth look at how to deconstruct club-promoter's guff. Let's begin with evidence close to home.

"The Cellar has been roadblocked of late and this week the promoters have pulled out all the stops. Don't miss Saturday's essential party, where twisted beats & polysexual grooves will be spun to a truly diverse crowd , featuring SiSi on Dex'n'Fx."

What does this actually mean? Time to bust some jargon....

    "Roadblocked"
Bouncers are Nazis and make everyone queue, though it's empty inside.

"The promoters have pulled out all the stops"
Promoters have borrowed a slide projector and stuck up a few balloons.

    "Saturday's essential party"
    There's nothing else on.

    "Truly diverse crowd"
Two Japanese girls wandered in by accident last time around.

    "Twisted beats"
You won't be able to whistle any of the tunes played.

    "Polysexual grooves"
High possibility of seeing someone getting bummed in the fringes.

    "Decks'n'Fx"
There will be a few additional whooshing noises heard over each tune.

In other news, last weekend motorists were monitored for drug-driving for the first time in Donegal, Monaghan & Cavan. We wonder what kind of drug-testing kit the Guardaí used? Perhaps they took a leaf out of the Australian model, which has proven hugely successful in exposing yolked-up drivers. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ve43GcS6lVc

    Drive safe,
    An Stiurthóir x
