    Hi all,

If this thread is posted in the wrong place, Mods feel free to move.
I just taught you experts might point me in the right direction.

I'm looking for a Wedding album, leather cover - but I don't want one with that tacky piece of paper in between each page.

Just a good all round album.
What and where do you's buy? Any recommendations?

    I expect to spend from E150 - E300.

    Thanks.

you could get a graphi album... but that may be outside your price range.

    Thanks for your suggestion Rymus.

But unfortunatly we don't have digital access to the pictures.
We opted out of purchasing a wedding album from our photographer because he was charging E600.
So now all we have is 200+ photo's and no album to put them in.

I taught i could pick up a nice leather bound album on ebay or the like??
But i taught i'd ask here before i do anything?

    200+ 6x4's or 200 photos on a preview DVD?

You can possibly buy something on ebay or even in a local stationary/office supply/art shop that'll look quite nice but little will compare with a purposely printed and bound album.

    200 + 6"x4" photo's.
We also got a preview dvd but it's protected somehow, can't gain access to the digital photo's.

Can you recommend anywhere to buy online?

    Am i just a cheap skate?

I wouldn't say cheapskate exactly... but the wedding album you'd have gotten would (I imagine given the quality that most wedding photographers are putting out) would have been far exceeding anything someone with little knowledge on the subject could put together themselves. Having seen a good number of the bound leather albums, I can vouch for their top quality finish.

I suppose all you can do is get a nice album to stick the 6x4's in. Maybe go back to the guy and see what he'll do for you regarding a few enlargements of your favorite shots.

I am at a loss here,
you only have the photos on DVD ?
Its more than likely produced by a program like pro show producer or gold.
So that would make it a form of video file !
Good luck to you if you think you will get anything workable off it.

    OP said they had:
    200 + 6"x4" photo's.
    And a preview dvd......?

I stand corrected. my mind was elsewhere.. missed the op's 3rd post ;)

So your looking for an album to hold 200 enprints (6x4)

    hummmm..
would go with the suggestion of buying enlargments from the pro and getting either a 10x8 or 10x10 album..

    Thanks for listening everybody.

I take it i'll have to try ebay so......:(

And there was me thinking i was gonna get recommended websites that the "pro's" use.

    Thanks anyhow.

problem is that with most resources that the 'pros' use, you have to have the original high-res files available. Given that you don't have these, you're left with little option other than to get a bog standard 6x4 album. One possible other option is to get high res scans of the 6x4's done and use something like lulu or blurb to make a photo book. Won't be leather bound, but at least it'll look somewhat the part.

    Hope you find something nice.

we use asukabook albums. but you can't use most sites like that unless you register as a pro and they verify you are before they let you access the site

€600 is an average price for a pro designed album.

dot is right. you can't buy from azuko or graphi studio unless you are a pro. they specially say they don't seell to brides and grooms.

i've been looking for some nice albums too. i've been to photo shops, easons etc...they are just those crappy cheap ones. haven't seen anything remotely like you'd get from a pro.

if your DVD is protected then he's obviously copyrighted them. even if you bring that to a photoshop, they won't print them as far as i know.
