I have a Sony Vaio VGN - SZ4MN and the mouse/touchpad has stopped working. An external mouse works fine, any ideas, thanks

    http://www.vaio-link.com/downloads/preinstalled/preinstalled.asp?site=voe_en_GB_cons&c=0&s=VGN-SZ&m=2565
Visit here and download the original drivers package at the bottom of the page. This will reinstall all stock system drivers for your laptop.
If this doesn't work the ribbon cable for mouse/touchpad maybe loose or the part maybe faulty/dead.

I was thinking of doing that, do you know is it possible just to download the drivers for the touchpad? thanks for your help

Not on that website I dont think so. Download the whole package and it will probably extract each individual compnoent driver to its own folder I imagine.

You sure the touchpad isn't locked? Try Fn+ F7 to see if it is. Just a suggestion.

PM me your email address. I'll download it, extract it and email the touchpad drivers to you.

Could also check your laptops Hard drive and see if theres a drivers folder or something similar which may already contain the drivers you seek.
