I need some advise please.
I was stopped last year at a garda checkpoint while i was driving a car on loan from a garage, i had transfered my insurane on to this car for the duration of me driving it.
I was asked to show my proof of insurance at a garda station of my choice so i did 2 days later, i gave the garda my insurance cert and told him i was asked to produce it and where i was stopped.
5 mins later he said that all was ok.
Now nearly 5 months later I received a summons to court for having no insurance.

Do i have to go to court or should I contact the garda to get it sorted?

Any help will be greatly appreciated.
